Pilates and Cardio fusion workouts are on the cutting edge of fitness!

The key to developing your ideal body means that you need to do two things:

Create a calorie deficiency
Build muscle

A lot of people do not know that you need to build muscle to develop your ideal body. And there is a phobia out there when it comes to building muscle. People do not want to bulk up or get big. That is why Pilates is so great. Doing Pilates allows you to develop long, lean muscles.

Why do you need to create a calorie deficiency?

Creating a calorie deficiency is the only way you can lose fat. A calorie deficiency is when your intake of calories is less than the amount your body uses as energy for the day. A pound of fat is equal to 3500 calories. Therefore, to really lose a true pound of fat you need to burn 3500 extra calories. A good goal to have, is to burn 500 more calories a day than you consume. This will allow you to lose 1 lb a week, which is considered safe. And when you do it this way, it is much easier to keep it off.

So if you watch what you eat and exercise, this is not difficult to do. Just make sure that you watch what you eat!

Why do you need to build muscle?

To start with, let me ensure you that we are not talking about bulky muscle. We are talking about long, lean muscles that look great.

Building muscle helps you for a number of reasons. First of all, muscle requires you to burn more calories when you are at rest. This is because muscles require more energy than fat. Second, if you are looking to lose fat, once the fat is gone, you want there to be something left. Finally, the process of building muscles also burns calories. So overall building muscles will help you burn more calories and give you a sexy body to look at once your fat is gone!

Where does Pilates and Cardio fit in?

Pilates and Cardio will help you accomplish both of these tasks in one workout! That means that you can spend less time in the gym and more time showing your body off!

When doing Pilates with cardio you should always do some cardio before Pilates. This is important for a few reasons. When you do cardio first you start the calorie burning process. This means that your heart rate is elevated and you are helping to create your calorie deficiency.

Then once you have done some cardio, you should begin doing Pilates. Doing Pilates with an elevated heart rate allows you to burn more calories as you build your long, lean muscles. This means that you burn more calories than you would have just doing Pilates on Monday and cardio on Tuesday. It multiples your results and helps you get to where you want to be quicker.

So if you do a workout that combines cardio and Pilates, you will create a calorie deficiency and build muscle in one amazing workout!
